Born on 1 Nov. 1936 in Winterthur and grown up in Basel

1953

Preparatory course in the School of Decorative Arts, Basel

1954-58

Graphic Training with Certificate

1960-62

Further training in the painting class at the Basel Arts and Crafts School (now College of Design) at Martin A. Christian

1963

Stay in Paris with a grant from the city of Basel

since 1964

Artist of  freelance

1965 -  

Often travels to the cultural treasures of Europe (Italy, Spain, Greece, Germany, Belgium, Holland, England and Portugal.)

1976  

Residence in New York during Philippe de Bros, then assistant director at the Metropolitan Opera

1981

Performance and exhibition in the exhibition room of barracks Basle (Oct. / Nov.).

1982

Travel to Egypt, visiting the Philadelphia, temples and royal historical sites

1984

Travel for study to New York, Philadelphia, and Washington

1986

Travel to Venice, especially due to the works of Tintoretto and Titian. In Apulia there are 89 pen drawings (Book: Holiday Rapport, Dieter Koepplin text).

1987

Stay in Israel and visit the holy sites of Jewish, Christian and Islamic culture.

1989 

Travel to Mexico.The cultures of the Aztecs, Olmecs and Maya left a deep impression.

1992

Travel to Portugal, Rabaceira. Cooperation with the Swiss artist, Peter Kienast,    living in Portugal

1993

Live in Paros, Greece

1997 

Travel to Kenya. Observe the wildlife in the highlands of the Masai Mara.

1998

Residence in Los Angeles and San Francisco and journey through California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona

2004 

Journey of  the historical sites to the temples  in Bangkok, Ayutthaya, Sukhothai, Chiang Mai and Chiang Ra.  Renewed employment in teachings of Buddha
